Lakeshore Lodge and Spa in Lake Tahoe

The only all-lakefront property on Tahoe’s South Shore, The Lakeshore Lodge and Spa offers both hotel- and condominium-style lodging with incredible views of the water and the mountains. Conveniently located to most of the area’s activities, including skiing, the Lakeshore Lodge is ideal for vacations all year round and is suitable to both couples and families and is a great location for special events and other group occasions.

Accommodations are available in a variety of styles. Lodge hotel rooms are the smallest but still fairly spacious and include lovely rustic pine furnishings, private balconies or patios with lake views, single or two queen beds, gas burning fireplace, coffee maker, hair dryer, TV with DVD, and iron/ironing board. Some hotel rooms have fully-equipped kitchens. The condos available include one bedroom, one bedroom/loft, and two bedroom/two bath models. Each is individually owned, so the décor varies with each unit. Condo amenities include wood-burning fireplace, balcony or patio, full kitchen, separate living and dining areas, and all the amenities of the lodge rooms. Upon request, guests can book a special “romance” condo, which includes one bedroom, one bath, and a jetted hot tub for two just off the living room by the fireplace. Reservations for these units must be made by phone.

Elements Day Spa at the Lakeshore Lodge is a full-service spa that attracts both hotel guests and locals. It boasts five nicely-decorated treatment rooms and offers a wide range of traditional spa services including massages, body wraps, scrubs, facials, waxing, paraffin dips, hydrotherapy, and more. Couples treatments are available and the spa eagerly welcomes bridal parties or other groups, with reservations. Packages are available that include more than one treatment at a special price.

Twice a week during the summertime, Lakeshore Lodge and Spa presents Music on the Beach, delightful concerts that include groups performing a wide variety of different genres. Attendance is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Tahoe sunsets and guests can bring a picnic to eat during these free concerts.

There is no restaurant or other eating facility at the Lakeshore Lodge and Spa, but there are plenty of eateries that are within walking distance or a short drive of the facility.

Tahoe’s Lakeshore Lodge has an outdoor site for wedding ceremonies. Perched by the lake, it is ideal for a warm weather affair and can accommodate up to 50 guests. It is available from May through mid-October and special packages are offered through the hotel’s designated wedding vendors.

The lodge also offers space for other group events, both business and social. The Lakeview Meeting Room can accommodate up to 30 people theater-style and 40 cocktail -style. It’s ideal for boardroom-type functions or small social gatherings like retreats or reunions.
