Forest Suites Resort in Lake Tahoe
Located in South Lake Tahoe in a secluded 5.5-acre area that’s just steps from activities and a few blocks from the lake, Forest Suites Resort is an attractive condo-style facility that is suitable for singles, couples, or families. The suites here are among some of the largest in town and can accommodate a variety of budgets.
The accommodations at Forest Suites Resort range from standard hotel-style guest room units to multiple bedroom suites. The hotel rooms at this facility include a choice of one king or two double beds and feature work table with chairs, television with cable stations, coffee maker, and more. They sleep 2 to 4 people and are reasonably priced. The standard suites are available in one-bedroom or two-bedroom models. They feature separate living and dining areas for lots of room to spread out and also a kitchen for those who don’t wish to eat all their meals at a restaurant. The living area includes a sofa bed to accommodate extra guests. The two-bedroom units also have two bathrooms and a sofa bed is included with this unit as well, allowing it to sleep up to 7 or 8 guests.
In addition, there are two specialty suites available for booking at the Forest Suites Resort. The Emerald Bay Suite features 1,200 square feet, a master bedroom with bath, gas fireplace, dining area that accommodates 6, gourmet kitchen with upgraded appliances, sleeper sofa, entertainment center, and an extra half bath. The piece de resistance in this suite is the separate wood and tiled hot tub room! The other suite, the Heavenly Suite, includes a queen-size bed, fireplace, separate sitting area, bathroom with jetted tub and walk-in shower, entertainment center, and a private deck.
Amenities at the Forest Suites Resort include two heated outdoor pools with a large deck, nestled between the resort’s buildings in an area that’s quiet and private. The hotel also owns a private stretch of beach which is just a few blocks from the hotel and is reserved for the use of Forest Suites guests. In the winter, this is an ideal lodging option for those who wish to be close to the Heavenly Ski Area. The Heavenly gondola runs directly atop the hotel and is convenient to skiers and boarders.
The Forest Suites Resort boasts its own wedding chapel with a beautiful domed ceiling, river rock fireplace, stained glass window, and mountain views. It’s a lovely and pristine setting for a romantic wedding and can be booked along with one of the resort’s wedding packages, which can include a reception for up to 40 people, two night’s accommodations at the hotel, minister’s fee, and other incidentals. The hotel can also assist in booking accommodations for guests of the bridge and groom.
Space is also available for other social events or for
business functions as well. Catering is offered and the event staff can
assist clients in also arranging activities outside the resort.
