Fantasy Inn and Wedding Chapel in Lake Tahoe

Built in 1993 and located across the street from Lake Tahoe, the Fantasy Inn and Wedding Chapel is an Alpine-style structure that boasts a combination rustic look and whimsical atmosphere, giving it a fairy tale appearance. Designed to be romantic in nature, this lodging facility is specially designed for couples and is a favorite with those on their honeymoon or celebrating a special anniversary or other notable event.

There are a total of 52 rooms inside the Fantasy Inn and many of them are one-of-a-kind themed rooms that vacationing couples love. Themes include the Princess Room, The Royal Spa, Tropical Treehouse, Arabian Nights, The Sultan’s Tent, the Tahoe Room, Anthony and Cleopatra, a Western Room, the Queen’s Quarters, Caesar’s Indulgence, Marie Antoinette, Graceland, Mystic Mountain, Romeo and Juliet, Rainforest, and a Roman-themed room. All of these so-called Romantic Getaway rooms include oversized in-room whirlpool spas of different shapes, European showers with his-and-her shower heads, baskets of bath products including bubble bath, romantic mood lighting, lots of mirrors, swivel TV with pay-per-view movies, stereo system, king-sized bed on a lighted pedestal, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, and iron and ironing board.

Because each room has its own private indoor whirlpool, there is not a public pool or hot tub on the premises of the Fantasy Inn. However, the facility is close to all that Lake Tahoe offers, from skiing in the winter (Heavenly Ski Area is nearby) to swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and more in the warmer summer months. Golf is also close by as is an aquatics center that provides a pool for those who prefer swimming in a pool to swimming in the lake. The Stateline casinos are also nearby and offer plenty of gaming opportunities, shows, night clubs, and more. Additional amenities at this facility include shuttle services to several of the nearby ski resorts including Sierra-at-Tahoe and Kirkwood ski areas. While there is no restaurant at Fantasy Inn, there are many that are within walking distance of the hotel, offering a wide variety of cuisine. There’s also plenty of shopping nearby and much more just a short drive from the facility.

As the name indicates, Fantasy Inn boasts its own wedding chapel, making it especially popular with those looking for wedding options that range from quite basic and simple to fairy tale-like. Ceremonies can be held in the facility’s indoor chapel or beautiful garden area and can include a simple, quick service in front of an officiant to a fantasy affair that includes photographer, videographers, horse drawn carriage, flowers, a cake, and much more. Package plans start at about $150 and climb to a few thousand dollars. Additional perks are available for a fee from one of the many vendors associated with Fantasy Inn and Wedding Chapel.
