One of the few totally “green” hotels in the
The fact that this is a “green” hotel might dissuade some individuals from checking out it, mistakenly thinking there have been concessions made in order to remain eco-friendly. That couldn’t be further from the truth. While it’s true that guests’ sheets and towels are only changed upon request and the lobby furniture is made from recycled material from the old pool fence that was part of the previous hotel at this site, there’s no skimping on service or comfort here.
Guest rooms are available in a wide range of configurations including single king or single queen, double double rooms, or double queen units. There are two kinds of suites as well – the King Honeymoon Suite and the Double Double Suite. Rooms are classified “standard” or “deluxe”. Standard rooms differ in that there is no refrigerator nor is their daily maid service. All rooms, however, include 42” plasma televisions, overhead fans, vessel sinks, Egyptian cotton sheets, natural toiletries, free wireless internet, and handsome recycled timber furniture. Suites include an extra queen-sized sofa bed as well as a private patio area.
The on-site spa is very popular with guests of 968 Park Hotel. The licensed therapists there offer various kinds of massage and reflexology, both for individuals and for couples who want to enjoy their spa treatments together. The spa uses natural and organic oils and lotions, natural cotton sheets and fleece blankets, and heated tables. There’s also a dry sauna, a 12-person indoor hot tub, and – in season – a pool with cabanas. Cabanas are first come, first serve or can be reserved for a small fee. Other complimentary hotel amenities include a ski and snowboard locker room, a lounge, a zen garden, a small activity room, a small business center with computers, and covered or open air parking.
